Education

P2F2 provides educational opportunities throughout the year for our members.  In most cases we are able to offer CPE credits to those who attend.  Our annual conference, which typically takes place each October, is well known as the best place for public pension plan finance staff to get educated on the topics most relevant to their positions.  The annual conference is held in-person and provides attendees with roughly 22-25 CPE credits.

P2F2 also provides a Pension 101 course that is held in June.  The course is an in-person two-day event that provides attendees with the basics in pension plan finance...financial reporting, actuarial and investment concepts, GASB pronouncements, and more.  The course is geared toward newly hired staff, but some longer-term employees like to take the course as a refresher.  Attendees receive 16 CPE credits and networking opportunities for attending.

Throughout the year we also offer four one-hour webinars with timely topics and great speakers.  Those webinars are free for P2F2 members and cover a myriad of topics that are timely and relevant.  You can learn more about our webinars by clicking on the Webinars link.

A "Road to 40" webinar series is being offered in 2026 and consists of six two-hour webinars generally held on the last Thursday of every other month, beginning January 2026.  Members can choose to attend as many webinars as they would like, and can earn 12 CPE credits if they attend all of them.  You can learn more about the Road to 40 webinar series on our website.
